I used to worry about not being able to recall words or names while speaking, but I've learned that if you're up front with audiences, they cut you some slack. Audiences remind me of the classes from my substituting days. No, they don't throw things or fight, and nobody is called out. But a speaker does get a sense early on if an audience is going to be fun. If so, and he's at a podium for an hour or more, I might do some bends and stretches to avoid blood clots and frozen joints. They're fully on board. Some might even join me. My only nod to fashion would be the laces in my tennis shoes
