The Relationship Between AI and the Fine Arts
The medieval's use the Latin term ours, A-R-S, to talk about art. But for them, ours meant mastering certain tools in order to bring about certain effects. So it's kind of like magic and magic in the medieval period was precisely considered an arts because you have to learn to manipulate rules in order to change the world. And if we acknowledge that a romantic conception of art is not the way that art has always been produced or necessarily should be produced, maybe we should stop worrying about this.
