Thorne is crazy for the gold right now. He's not thinking clearly, even though Bard was being totally truthful and very, very fair. Thorne just insults him and says, basically, you can't have any of it because smog stole it from you. So that doesn't matter. And he ignores the fact that their whole town got destroyed. That Bard is the one who actually killed the dragon. This is greed. Bill Bo expects, Bill Bo thinks that Thorne will agree and everything's going to be fine.
