The Lactate Threshold

The first threshold is the lactate threshold, to my mind and the way i've been trained. We see that as the first sudden and sustained increase in blood lacte concentration during incremental exercise. So knowing where that boundary is is really important. And it's also worth mentioning that often the first and the second threshold get mixed up in the way they're defined.
