The Importance of Black History in Hockey

Bill Riley and Mike Marson were the first two black players on the ice together in the NHL. After 11 games with the Winnipeg Jets, Bill never made it back to the NHL. He went on to play in the minor leagues before becoming a bus driver for the Toronto Transit Commission.
