The Day of the Lord Is Coming
The poem is intended to be mysterious and ambiguous. Cohelet conceives of humankind as an tegral part of god's creation. The connection between the individual and the whole cosmos could also be seen, for instance, in job's curse upon the day of his birth. For each particular verse, craig bartholomew, rightly, i believe, challenges this particular approach.
