The Complexity of Dream Work
I'm always very cautious when people short circuit psychological concepts and artistic procedure. I don't think an artist performs dream work, right? Or an artist doesn't perform recuperation or restoration. It's a much more complicated situation. A painting does offer the spectator a whole range of possibilities. And so, dream work is one analog analogy that's fine. Memory is another uncovering something else.
