i just don't know any way to have an honest conversation about forgiveness that doesn't involve admitting hypocrisy. A person cannot actually eliminate the value of their own life, in my view, no matter what they do. So it'll always be the right thing to do to allow that person to live. There are some things that are just really, really, you know, they exceed the moral capacities of even the most morally heroic person. We're only human,. and i think we should keep a mind that those are very rare, very rare instances.
