The Lingayat Vote Factor in Bengaluru
The data show that in Bengaluru district, the BJP got 46.4% of the vote share, which is up by 5.4% from 2018. And the other place that the BJP did well was Khustal Karnataka, where they secured 48.5%. Now Mumbai in central Karnataka and Hyderabad Karnataka and South and Malnad regions of the state saw most of their vote share go to the Congress. So it seems to be a wave across regions, across all five regions, Congress has increased its vote share very well. Also Amit Shah in one of his campaigns called JDS the B team of Congress. Did that help consolidate Muslim words in favor of Congress?
