What Is the Context of the Bible?
The woman said to him, I know that Messiah is coming. When he comes, he will tell us all things. Jesus said to her, I who speak to you, am he. Familiar, beautiful, poignant encounter. If you don't get into the context of when these words were breathed, the original audience, the intent and the takeaway for theOriginal audience, then you really don't get the beauty. You don't get transformational truth,. The Bible isn't a rule book. It's not an ancient collection of morality tales. This is life giving every page is pertinent.
