I was in the library looking for Eric from Mark's This Concept of Man, and I stumbled across the human condition. And I fell in love with Hannah Arendt's writing. It was unlike any other text of political philosophy I had encountered up to that point. He grew up in a very working class family in Port Huron; his mom was a waitress,. His dad worked at a grocery store. The first time he came out with a compilation of Nietzsche's work, she just kind of rolled her eyes at me. She really loved the birth of tragedy.
