i've always thought that the word liberalism is one of these words in which many people invest quite different meanings. So i was wondering if you could give us a sense of what you mean when you use this phrase liberalism. What do you have in mind? In the book, i describe a what what i call the enlightenment liberal paradime. Andit begins with the assumption that people are by nature free and equal; obligations are assumed on basis of consent.
