The Enemy of Like Writing

I just had this piece come out, which I think also is a little under the radar, but about Octavia Butler. For most of her career she was like the only, almost the only black woman working in SF. And that is really cool to me that she managed to be one of the only people in her field and still hang on to her own project. It's not necessarily coming from a place of quote unquote racism. Like it's also coming from a desire on the part of a community for like art to like have a political function. You're going to be like advancing our goals. Right?
