Telehealth - What's the Business Model?
This approach to advertising and prescribing comes from the general shift toward direct to consumer prescribing that we've been seeing gain steam on the internet. The pharma company gets visibility into all of that consumer health data from the click to the prescription fulfillment, which is something they really can't get anywhere else. A lot of these drugs are new and expensive or poorly covered by insurance. There's a good chance people won't fill the script once they get it because it's too expensive.
