How to Put Space Between Government and Bank of England Announcements
The Bank of England will start selling bonds again on the 1st of November. There's a monetary policy committee meeting on the 3rd of November where they will likely announce an interest rate rise. At a time when markets have already been spooked once, it makes sense to have some space between the Bank taking those big steps.
