The Importance of Keeping Extra Rules
In vain do they worship me. We remember that phrase from Isaiah from the first vision. And to see throughout the years of the age of apostasy that people have begun to replace the gospel, the doctrines of Christ, with the traditions of men. They're adding all these letters that God did not put on the tablets. That could be vain like vanity, vanity, all is vanity. It doesn't do anything. But also vain in terms of look at me and trying,. No wonder we're adding commandments, because if I'm keeping extra ones beyond yours, then I must be holier than now.
