The window for hitting the one point five degrees target of the paris agreement is really very, very narrow. For instance, global greenhouse gas omissions will need to peek in the next three years before 20 25 at the latest. Even if we want to have even odds of limiting warming to two degrees, they still need to peak by 20 25. So these are changes that are enormous. And omissions to day are still rising year on year. The last decade saw the highest absolute decatal rise of omissions in human history.
