The Cubicle Culture of the 20th Century
I think it's very much connected also with the business culture of this time. The vision is, the spread out in different shapes with lots of collaborative working. It was really intended to be this flexible Lego blocks and it ended up being a cubicle. Ironically, we went the other way, didn't we? With open plan, which I think had so many potential topsides, but actually is a bit of a nightmare for a lot of reasons. But despite this not being a great success for people, they figured out that the office market is a huge opportunity.
