Viruses Are Funny Things

Virus in general are funny things. For as long as we've known about viruses, they've been these liminal objects. Viruses depend on the host cells they infect to reproduce themselves. They hijack that cell's metabolism and use it to make copies. The thing that straddles the division between life and death, or life and non-life.
