Medina Sidonia's Letter to the English Postmasters

We know that sir francis drake sends a letter to henry seymour, in command of the ships in the channel. He gets it within 36 hours, and it gets to london within 12 hours. The english have real advantage there. They are the ones who are able to send messages very rapidly. Medina sidonia's only recourse is to take his ships across to calais, near the northern tip of france. It is there that medina sidonia finally hears from palma. But it is not the news he was hoping for. A massive attack is launched, driving the armada away with no safe harbor along the english coast.
