Interdisciplinary Work
i used to work in philosophy of physics, as it happens. So that was into disciplinary philosophy and physics. It was still very much the kind of lone scholar, everybody is trying to look clever type model. But i think if you're willing to genuinely engage in the other discipline then there are some really intellectually interesting, low hanging fruit to be found there. I'm very positive myself about interdisciplinary work. I think it's easy to do it badly. You do it bad. And secondly, for whatever reason, it tends to be a bit less career prodigious.
