Introduction
The partially examined life, episode 200, forty seven, part two, discussing aristotle's rhetoric. syllogisms are what he is concerned with throughout his logical works. A lot of it just refers to basic causal reasoning,. observation about the world, and the assumption that some things are causally related. It's all in the realm of likelihoods, right? So ways in which you talk about things likely being the case. And that's part of what makes it persuasive. Mean, even though this is focused on the way in which our speech is persuasive to one another, it clearly has just direct relationship to how we go about convincing ourselves.
