Chronic Disease Management During Ramadan
Intrapatic colostasis of pregnancy presents as debilitating paritis without any primary skin lesions. Onset is in the second or third trimester and it resolves by 6 weeks postpartum. Delivery at 36 to 37 weeks is recommended due to adverse fetal outcomes like preterm delivery and fetal demise. Ramadan is observed with abstaining during daylight hours from food, drink, and sex. Oral, nasal, or rectal medications are not permitted.
