Mangula's Diary

Dr. Joseph Mangula conducted torturous experiments on prisoners at Auschwitz for years. He harvested tissue and blood samples, had his subjects murdered so he could dissect their bodies. The diaries had belonged for a time to Mangula's son, Rolf, but he was apparently not the direct seller. In 2011, a further 31 volumes of Mangula’s diaries were sold, again amidst protests, by the same auction house to an undisclosed collector of World War II memorabilia for U.S. for $245,000
