Migrants tend to be clustered among particular groups, a subset of the whole population. This explains the genetic and material homogeneity of the Yumnaia migration. Eventually, when one group made it to the Hungarian plain, the floodgates probably opened. These later migrants would have had a chain of familiar people along the way.
