The Role of Aspirin in Vasoconstriction
Thromboxane A2 is produced by activated platelets via Cox from arachidonic acid. Thromboxins are also important in vasoconstriction because if you can constrict blood vessels, less blood is flowing to that area. Tylenol or acetaminophen, ibuprofen and aspirin are drugs that we call NSAIDs - non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
