The Carp Interior Land Council undertakes massive efforts to care for country. The land council continues to regulate regeneration and renewal through the traditional practice of cool burning. Out of the Lorne Hill Gorge area in one new traditional lands is collectively referred to as Mumbelina or a Rainbow Serpent Country. There are many stories about what this punishment can look like, including death, sickness and catastrophic climate events such as cyclones that chase across the country. It comes within the septance that life goes on, but Aboriginal law does not change.
