Sylvia beautifully illustrated that change in theatre and theatrical audiences. I'm playing Emileen Pankers to not resemble at all. The thing that we had in common is our age, you know, and obviously being British. Just to play such a British hero,. a woman who championed women's rights in such a formidable way was big shoes to step into. And so to win an award ... it just felt so satisfying"
