Facebook's Misalignment of Incentives

I think the limiting factor there was what I alluded to earlier which is this business model where you know Facebook obviously they sell ads right and so in order to make that a profitable endeavor they then have to figure out how to gather data on you because targeted advertisements do much better than untargeted advertisements. So then you sort of have this misalignment of incentives between the platform and the user for the platform wants the users to stay there longer. They want them scrolling on the news feed or doom scrolling scenario where people are just sort of like click bait. And so when you have that sort of tension internally you know there's just that incentive misalignment which makes it hard to sort of always
