Stefan was the one who taught me how to write my first bit of smart contracts back in summer 2017. We actually wrote this project called Lib Submarine, which was an attempt to provide a commit reveal scheme to mitigate some of the front running that was happening on Ethereum. It didn't pick up really but it was enough to keep me interested in the space. And then over the course of this year with the growth of DeFi, I think for many people, MEV became a reality. Just a sheer amount of value flowing on chain these days made it that it couldn't be ignored.
