The Future of Forestry in Germany
There's a very strong conflict in Germany between the urban population and the rural population. Many discussions over climate are driven from the urban point of view. I don't see a problem in combining nature conservation with the production of timber. The thing with climate change is, first of all, it's human-made, so it's going on very fast. So through planting you can bring in another tree species that will diversify your forest - this makes it stronger to deal with climate change.
