Is the Proper Translation of Greek Air Whistling?

Roman literature is not all a lofty, royal drama. There are some really baudy, satirical roman literature that still exist to day. And so you would expect the characters in this to engage in all manner of vulgarity - but almost never whistling or spitting. But stekellenberg s point out a few areas where we 're not entirely sure. Is it whistling, like, or is it finger whistling? Or is this just bad singing?
