The Budget Isn't Your Job.
I wanted to see a lot more action to help people with the cost of living that's still biting now, says Lord Tebbit. And I also wanted to seeing a long-term plan to kickstart the economy so that we can begin to reverse the fall and living standards. But against that, I was surprised that there was very little to help people. There was nothing on public sector pay, which was astounding. The thing that, for me, is the biggest missed opportunity is they were talking a lot about a plan for growth. We did not have that.
