The first iPhone launch with 2G was a little advancement on 2G. This was 1G, which was AMOLOG. No digital yet in cellulars. And cellular had just been an innovation. I mean, this notion that rather than communicating over long distances, we were actually going to put cell towers so that you only needed to communicate with your local tower. That was new.

Qualcomm, or “Quality Communications” — despite being one of the largest technology companies in the world, few people know the absolutely amazing technological and business history behind it. Seriously, this story is on par with Nvidia, TSMC and all the great semiconductor giants.
