There will be massive psychological effects here on both sides, right? I think profound psychological effects. People were telling me what this got across was the idea that people could start demanding things from their president who before was untouchable. It's obviously not the end of the game, and I think Ukraine, while they've disappointed that this hasn't lasted as long as they thought it was, they do hope this is the first chapter.
Yevgeny Prigozhin, nicknamed “Putin’s chef”, leads the Wagner Group of mercenaries fighting alongside Russian forces in Ukraine. He had lambasted Russia’s military leaders for months, but the mutiny he began over the weekend lasted less than a day. Nevertheless it is a sharp blow to President Vladimir Putin’s leadership—and may prove to be a boon for Ukraine’s counter-offensive.
