The Importance of Sharing Understandings in Order-Making
I define that order as man-made rules and understandings. That pattern relations don't always follow the rules, but at the heart of orders, I think it's agency. But yes, I'm pointing to these shared understandings. I think this is what really keeps order together. And if you think about our current order at the moment, how would you describe that? I think there is a degree of shared understanding. So people say China's rise It's the end of international order. And I don't think that's necessarily true.
