Kotlin: A Functional Way of Doing Things

The transition from for loops to map functions on collections, that took my brain a while to like really grok that change. I have just fallen in love with the functional way of doing things. And then it does take that, I don't know, I mean, I'm most of the way through the process myself. It's making sense to me now. But of course, I'm trying to figure out how do I make sense?
