OpenAI's Chappity and GPT put such shockwaves through the tech world that now Google and Meta are all scrambling to catch up. Some of their criticisms have been you are forcing us to put this out here without proper guardrails or we die. And so I think that this alternative approach is the only sort of other path that I see, which is that you do let reality hit you in the face.
