It really does look like a frame from a, you know, a video of an explosion. It's still being so illuminated by the star and glowing. So ther still a lot tomes happening there in this sort of structure. And it's also how material that is made of the star, so heavier elements such as oxygen and carbon are dispersed. Later it'll form the stuff that makes new stars and new planets. That's how all the things that make up planets that we live on originally came to be.
