Cisco packet tracer was a tool that's used in the CCNA exams and stuff. It let you hook up a bunch of Cisco branded networking equipment and computers to plug cables into their virtual ports. The more computers advanced, the more you can tie this stuff together in a way that has a small physical footprint - especially if it's fast.
