The Importance of Ageing Turkeys
You're not going to see turkeys that are four or five years old on these heavily hunted areas. Hardly ever you're going to see for example eastern turkeys with spurs longer than an inch and a half usually they're worn before then. It's very unlikely to be a two-year-old, but you just you don't know. I think turkey hunters would manage the populations on the lands they hunt very very differently.
