What Happens in Addiction?

We tend to think of a diction as like the disease model. But mark lewis where we replace it with what he calls reciprocal narrowing. What happens in adiction is, i take it. Here's a stressful situation. I take a substance in order to reduce the physiological distress. That actually makes the world more threatening. And then i take more of the substance rite. Then the world, it's called reciprocal narrowing, until the world can't be any other than it is, and i can't beany other than i am. So that draws more from the environment, it draws more. You can reciprocally open up. Our sense of meaning marks when we are reciprocally opening
