The Importance of 3D Telemedicine in Plastic Surgery
Kwame: We realize there is a significant shortfall when we're not just dealing with the human being as a 2D object, but 3D perspective is so important. One of the most common things we've used this system to help us with is when we're assessing a patient and using it to decide which part of the body we're going to move. And while she's sitting in the system, he's able to rotate the 3D model of her around so that she could see her own back and he drew on her.
