Many of the foods that we are told are healthy, grains, leafy greens, chocolate, and fish relative to red meat is all really high in heavy metals. Even small fish, even anchovies, even sardines, even wild salmon contains significant amounts of heavy metals. It's gotten so bad that most people know you shouldn't eat things like shark swordfish.
