We spoke to one of the Wagner fighters, who admitted committing war crimes in Ukraine. He said that at some point they received an order not to take any prisoners. They would pretend to take prisoners and they just shot them on the spot. I mean, that is extraordinarily poignant and also utterly brutal for the mum to have to cope with what has happened and why? Yes, it really is. And also, you know, she was saying that, yes, you already robbed them while at least save their lives. Why would you also kill her?
