How Lori and Jeremy Began a Lifelong Dream
CNN's John Defterios and his wife, Lori, are preparing for their first solo circumnavigation of the world. The pair have been lifelong sailors but never planned to go on such a long trip. They met at an Annapolis sailboat show two years ago when they were trying to learn more about sailing. "It was very much reinforced that you know, safety was paramount thinking through all the different contingencies at sea," he says.
