What Is a False Concern in AI?

I think a lot of the concern that comes up in science fiction is this very anthropomorphic vision of AI, these AI's that like sort of one day becomes self-aware and turn on us. And I think it's actually not a very helpful way to think about AI. We have sort of this mental model for another person, and we often put it on our pets, people name their Roombas, and then we stick it on AI systems.
