In school, kids are taught to think a specific way and believe what everyone tells them. But in the real world they need to be able to come up with their own solutions or new ways of looking at things. The work that we do nowadays is highly collaborative so learning how to collaborate for our times is also important. And I often talk about learning from first principles - you can call it like being independent minded or learning on your own.
