The Memoir Reflection on Beauty

The book is an invitation for readers to experience what it's like for you to live in a society where there are certain norms and unspoken rules about what beauty is. And I think the point of the book is when I'm thinking about otherness is to start out in a very specific place my mother specifies that experience of otherness being a physical body that deals with pain that looks really different from other people who don't have disabilities. So, yeah, I think also, it's important. The most profoundly human thing that makes us very precisely human is that we are constantly engaging in this act of translation this leap of faith with other people.
