The Eyes of the King of England
On the final day of his life, in October of 1536, Tyndale was brought out and he was given one last chance to recant. He would not. And he was strangled with a chain before his body was lit on fire. But his reach goes on: In 1611, when the King James Version was translated, almost 90% of the words in the King James Bible were done based on the translation work of William Tyndale. It has been theorized that Williams Tyndale has had a greater impact on the English language than William Shakespeare.
